Monroe Workshop is a Los Angeles-based studio committed to promoting imaginative play through simple yet innovative toys. Minimalism, design, and fun are components they value, because they also want grown-up kids to compliment their homes with our products too.

Los Angeles-based designer Matt Monroe is an experienced sculptor and carpenter and has been building things for as long as he can remember. Matt got his BA at Colorado College and his Masters in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Matt has been designing and building custom furniture since he launched Monroe Workshop in 2008. A few years later he started making toys out of wood scraps as gifts for friends and for his own two daughters. Slowly the toys grew into a business of their own and Monroe Workshop Toys was born.
